Besides edutaining at the L.I.F.E . (Literacy Integrated Film Education) Academy High School for Film & Music in Brooklyn, “Billy Caliente,” Mr. P.  is currently exhibiting as a photographic based artist & freelancing when time and opportunity permit. In the past, he’s worked as a film archivist for Francis Ford Coppola, production assistant for George Kuchar (John Waters’ mentor), foreign film programmer, stills photographer for Andres Sanz (Madrid, Spain), contributing copy/visual artist for Kravitz Design, projectionist for SFMOMA & American Zoetrope, and high school visual literacy/arts/ELA teacher for the past 13 years,  in the NYC public schools, prior to college teaching since 1997 in San Francisco, Portland (OR.), South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan. (MFA, Photography & Filmmaking, San Francisco Art Institute, & MAT, Secondary School English Language Arts, University of Maine;. NYS, ME Licensed 7-12) He resides in Brooklyn with his wife Parisa and son Rainer and their cats: Ali, Yassi, Cabiria,and Blixa.
